I’m importing a psd file that has a white background

1. I dragged the white background onto the new composition from footage to set up the composition. I’m guessing this is the best way to do this because the graphics are all embedded in the psd file at the sizes they are supposed to be

2. Is there any reason to draw a shape in AE for the background instead of using the graphic background after it is used for the comp settings?

Bought a new Macbook Air and somehow iCloud by default was synching the desktop and documents folder to the cloud. I want to turn this off, though when I do, it prompts me with the message:

"If you continue, items will be removed from the Desktop and the Documents folder on this Mac and will remain available in iCloud Drive."

"New items added to your Desktop or your Documents folder on this Mac will no longer be stored in iCloud Drive."

1. Why would items from the desktop and documents folder on the Mac be removed????

2. I prefer to not trust that my files are all synched to icloud and would rather keep the files locally and delete what it synched to the cloud. Is there anyway to do this?

Do the scratches on the inside of these pots look bad enough that I should throw them out? At what point are scratches something to be concerned with? I am concerned with potential issues with some of the inside of the pots leeching into food. Thanks
