Brand new Moccamaster ("Technivorm Moccamaster 53942 KBGV 10-Cup Coffee Maker Yellow Pepper, 40 Ounce, 1.25l"). I'm just running water through it now to clean it before using it. After I turn it on, hot water bubbles up through the center tube into the "shower head" for about 30 seconds, then it stops and the water level in the center tube is at about half way up to the top of that center tube.

I find that if I remove and replace the shower head it sometimes helps (haven't done a systematic test) to provoke the water to start bubbling through again. There's nothing in the shower head piece blocking water flow.

Any ideas?
