Ubv issues?
Hi , I am a new snake owner who was given my uncles 4 year old variable kingsnake due to him having to get rid of some of his reptiles / inverts for a private reason I will not disclose. I’ve had the snake for around 6 months now and am loving keeping him but there’s one issue that keeps arising, his ubv lights bulbs keep blowing whenever I get a new one usually after a day or two. I decided to get a whole new ubv housing and bulb to see if that fixed the issue but it keeps blowing . The light also flickers a lot when on for a few hours and the light gets quite hot . I think the issue is the light overheating due to my house being at a much warmer ambient temperature compared to his house . Has anyone had this issue before and does anyone know a fix for it?
