Basic and Small Smartphone for Secondary Work Device?
I've been a dual phoner for years for work purposes. My former iPhone was supplied to me by my workplace and locked down with MDM so I couldn't (and wouldn't) merge devices. With a somewhat recent job, I'm supplying my own phone and expensing the bill.
Now I am still dual phoning, but I don't want to merge for the main reason that I keep my personal on silent and the work phone on obnoxious. Also I don't want to accidentally text a client something meant for a close friend by mistake. I kind of need full separation, as the focus modes don't do what I really want them to, and there seems to be no way to separate message threads completely by type of contact.
Literally the only requirements are:
-Be small
-Make phone calls (duh)
-Send texts (duh)
-Be inexpensive, or on some upgrade deal with AT&T
-USB-C port (mine is on lightning and it's just so inconvenient to get out my dongle when I'm scrambling with a million other things traveling for meetings. I also just roll with one charger for simplicity).
-Run Outlook & Google Maps. I actually don't even use Outlook for anything other than having loud notifications while I read & respond on my personal iPhone 16 Pro Max.
That is it. Android or iPhone doesn't really matter to me for this one. I'd just prefer it to be as compact as possible so I can throw it in my purse without taking up too much real estate. Can anyone share any options? Current work phone is iPhone 12 mini.
