F19 Need to overcome my fear of other girls
It's a long story, but I am absolutely terrified of other girls my age. Today my only friend gave me a talk on how I need to get over it, because guy friends typically don't have the same social goals as me so he doesn't think my only-being-friends-with-guys thing is gonna work out.
I figured a good first step would be to just experiment with online female friends before trying irl. Some things to know about me:
-I am politically moderate left-leaning, but not extreme left. If you're one of those girls who believes that "gender is a spectrum", please know that we (respectfully) probably won't click as much and I'd prefer you find someone else.
-I am a total extrovert. I don't mind "adopting" an introvert, but I do prefer people who can relate to the extrovert struggles.
-Right now I don't have any major hobbies or interests, so please don't bother asking about that- it's genuinely my least favorite question. I really never know what to talk about with girls, so I'd prefer not having to be the one to lead the conversation.
-I am from the USA (PNW region, anyone?) and I would prefer girls from here, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, or Canada.
Kinda nervous still, but hey, sometimes ya gotta feel the fear and do it anyways.
