Hiya gang, long time music lover but new to records and audio setups. I have been using a roommates speakers with my record player and would like to get my own!

I found this gorgeous pioneer cs-a700 setup for 500 at my thrift yesterday and would love to hear if this would be a good place to start?

I saw these guys at my local thrift for 500 and am on the fence. I’ve been getting into records and want to get my own pair of speakers ( I use a roommates). They look great but I’m not sure they’re worth the 500? Also would I be in over my head setting these up as someone new to this?
