My first Clutch song
Escape From LA came out the summer I graduated. And that was in the Golden Age of rock and metal soundtracks. I bought so many of them regardless if I even cared about the movie. I was a big John Carpenter fan and Escape was my first theatrical experience with his movies. No it wasn’t great. But it was Kurt Russell and John Carpenter. But that soundtrack, oh how it changed my world. Several bands I already loved and a few I’d never heard of. But the band who sang about Planet of the Apes, conspiracies and the Men in Black? My God they were speaking to me. And 30 years later they’re still my guys and I’ll be loyal to the end. I caught them and COC a few weeks ago in Pensacola it was one of the best nights of my life. Sorry for the long post. I don’t have anyone in my real life to share the joy of Clutch with.
