The Worst Generals of the Civil War, part 4: Ambrose Burnside

https://medium.com/@xybuster1/the-worst-generals-of-the-civil-war-4-ambrose-burnside-3714da413491

The latest in historian Christopher Burchfield's survey of the worst Civil War Generals.

Burnside was a decent man who knew he was in over his head, but unfortunately, his superiors wouldn't listen to him, not until after the horrific Battle of the Crater.

Christopher Burchfield wishes me to thank everyone on this excellent thread for your thoughtful comments on his past articles. He really enjoyed hearing them as I read them back to him.

Thanks for reading!

Hello: historian Christopher Burchfield continues his series of articles on Medium about the worst generals of the Civil War. This time out, it's Braxton Bragg.

As I'm just the editor and poster, please address your comments and criticisms to Chris at xybuster1@outlook.com

Sorry about the misspelling of Chris’ email address. Please make your responses to him, as I have nothing to do with the content. (Chris is 81 and, sadly, blind now, so I’m helping out as best I can.)

Thanks, and we hop you find this entertaining and enlightening!
