Machined Micro Titanium Art
Just a short process clip of CNC Machining a Micro Kinetic Art Mechanism from Grade 5 Titanium and Brass, as well as all the handwork and assembly of it. Inspired by R. Buckminster Fuller’s “Jitterbug” mechanism, I redesigned it for aesthetics and my manufacturing processes and my own pleasure. This process involves many hours in creation, from the initial CAD modeling, CAM/Machine programming, mill setup, run time, deburring/finishing, assembly, and playing along the way. Hope you enjoy!
