2021 HSE with 88k miles on it. My start stop system doesn't work, but I'd like it to. I like my cars to be perfect so this has to get fixed.

Took it to the dealer and they couldn't communicate with the BECM (Battery Energy Control Module) as they called it.

Quoted 2600 to replace. I'm assuming the BECM is part of the 48v battery. Knowing JLR and dealers in general, they'll replace the whole battery right?

I found a local guy who can fix the BECM for $700, but I don't want to go through the trouble of removing the battery myself since the passenger seat has to come out that seems like a huge PITA.

Has anyone had to this on their disco, and if so how did you go about it? TIA
