I see online you wait for the bottom two shoots to turn yellow and that seems to be the case here? Planted these in late oct , zone 9b NorCal

These two stumps are about 6’ apart and were chopped down and came back with a bunch of of suckers tree #1 is pic 1 and 2, tree #2 is pic 3 and 4. According to google the first is an acer-negundo and the second a Mexican plum? They’re both about 10’ from the house/foundation. I’m in zone 9b NorCal so I’m not sure if they are worth keeping.
