It seems like, whenever I'm up against a Pokémon whose charged move requires the same energy as mine and which charges energy at the same rate as me, I always lose the speed tie. This makes games that might otherwise be closer or in my favor just end up in consistent losses, and I don't know what I might be doing wrong that's making the server hate me specifically.

I already do poorly enough with my team because I'm essentially just using mons that I have on hand rather than building with high investment for specific cups. Can someone help me understand why there seems to be such a delay between when my charged move lights up and when I can actually execute it? I don't have bad Internet; far from it.
