Violet - Wilderness Screenshots

[Some spoilers for Act 1 below]

[If you wish to learn about Violet's backstory, see my previous post featuring her]

The journey through the wilderness after the Nautiloid crash was unlike anything Violet has ever experienced before. Dark crypts and ancient ruins hiding lost treasure, goblins and gnolls haunting the roads, a caravan of tiefling refugees locked in conflict with the local druids, and a group of ragtag travelers all with their own trials and tribulations, united under a common goal.

It's like something out of a book. Fantastical, yet also simultaneously the most terrifying experience Violet has ever had to go through, and is still going through.

If it wasn't for the help of her companions and the sorcerous magic that the tadpole imbues her with, Violet probably never would've survived. And even still, she had to employ some...less than "honorable" strategies to get by. Hard to stop and think of others with a threat like turning into a mind flayer looming on the horizon.

She also decided it would be best to try and get one of her companions "under her spell" so to speak. At first, she thought herself lucky when Lae'zel propsitioned her, but that woman proved far too intense for Violet to handle.

How fortunate then that Astarion did the very same at the party with the tieflings. Violet is a bit unsure if he's fully sincere in his flirtatious approach to her, but if it keeps him by her side as protection, then it hardly matters what he thinks of her (after all, it's not like she would ever develop feelings for him in the future, right?)

At the end of the day, their efforts proved to only lead to more questions. The archdruid Halsin was unable to remove the tadpoles, and instead the journey continues towards Moonrise Towers. But before taking the pathway there through the Underdark, there is the remaining lead on a possible githyanki créche nearby which might offer a cure for the tadpoles.

And so, with some proper adventuring gear and a clear goal in mind, the party now make their way to the Mountain Pass.

However, Violet is unsure whether she even wants the tadpole removed. She does, but that also comes at the cost of her powers. Can she really go back to her old life and...her old work...after everything she’s experienced since the abduction? The answer remains to be seen for now.
