I have been a listener for a long time and when I saw this article on wikipedia I immediately thought of these guys. Sharing with you all let me know what you think.

Looking for feedback - I built a stepped narrative map of how the US power grid is organized.

I've been trying to understand the US power grid. Who runs it, who regulates it and why its organized the way it is. Turns out it is pretty complicated and there is a serious lack of reliable data, especially reliable geometries. I made this step-through map to try to explain it all but I would like feedback for how to improve it and also looking for resources with accurate geo-data. The EIA and HIFLD now require accounts so I had to derive some of the data using other shapes as proxies.

My first paid GIS gig a long time ago was digitizing watershed run off for the USDA when I was a student in college. Seeing tools like this invokes both a sense of awe and anxiety for me. Curious to hear other takes on what tools like this mean for the GIS community

Hi all, I went to college for GIS a long time ago. I have done software engineering for the last 14 years, most of that experience was not directly GIS related but I do little projects for fun here and there. I am trying to get back into the GIS and geospatial world and I am looking to get feedback on a study I did that looks into the affordability of housing in the US.

I am looking for feedback on methodology and presentation. Thanks!

I made this animated gif of the Salton Sea using an NDWI analysis. I noticed on some of the frames there are visible differences in the values that appear in a line. The data is from the sentinel 2 satellites. I am still sort of new to raster analysis and tile mosaicking but is there a way to correct for the lines that show up in the frames?
