Hello everyone, my name is Demarco Cardwell, I’m a filmmaker from Maryland and fan of the Friday the 13th franchise. I’ve seen all the movies and played countless hours of the video game. Since it’s unlikely the rights holders will give me a chance, I’m taking matters into my own hands.

Once I noticed there would be 3 Friday the 13ths in 2026, I knew I had to make a short about Jason. So on November 13th, 2026, my short film will be released.

I live in Maryland and filming will be located close or close-ish to the Maryland area. But don’t worry if you live far away, there are plenty of ways to help make a movie even if you’re far.

July-September is my projected shooting time, and October for editing. If you love these movies and or acting/filmmaking then reach out to me!

ALL of my short films are up on my Reddit and Instagram if you’d like to see my work. This is an unpaid passion project. The script isn’t long, it’s around 5-10 minutes. Hello, I’m a writer/director, from Frederick, MD, gearing up to shoot a scene in my latest short film. Filming takes place on Saturday, May 9th in Baltimore, MD.

I’m looking for a Woman in her 40’s-60’s to play the role of KIM (Grieving/hopeful/sincere) - Supporting role

And a man in his 30’s to play the role of BRIAN (Calm & unsettling) - Supporting role

Both roles are dialogue heavy and have very important monologues that serve the story well.

It’s an unpaid gig but of course food and water will be provided, not to mention a lot of passion is being put into the script and production! I have attached the casting call in this post with further details.
