⭐️ 🌷 The city’s marquee event, the Albany Tulip Festival takes over Washington Park this weekend. With two music stages, a kid’s zone, a wellness stage, free yoga, tons of food and vendor booths, and more than 140,000 beautiful bulbs, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Expect hordes of crowds, a bit of wet weather, and parking hassles. Sat-Sun, various times, free.

⭐️ 🎭️ At Mopco Improv Theatre, Spontaneous Broadway turns audience-made song titles into a full musical created on the spot, complete with costumes, sets, and musical numbers. It’s smart, silly, nerve-wracking theater where the audience helps build the show and then watches the impossible come together. The limited run opens this Saturday. Read our profile of the show, and get tickets at Mopco.org. Sat, 8-10p, $19 GA and $10 discounted tix.

⭐️ 🇯🇵 We’re super excited for this one: Ebisu Life Store, the rapidly growing Japanese chain, is opening its Albany outpost at 20 B Wolf Road on Saturday morning. Think Japanese snacks, household gadgets, J-beauty, Hello Kitty, Pokémon, Kirby, so many plushies, and everything cute and Asian you’d want under one roof. Opening day will feature free prizes and special discounts! Sat, 11 am, free.

⭐️ 🕰️ The Basilica Farm & Flea Spring Market leans into the season of growth with garden plants and supplies, green cleaning products, fresh cut flowers, discount books, and all sorts of vintage finds. This would be a fun event to go with mom, and then treat her to lunch in Hudson. Sat-Sun, 10a-5p, $5 per day or $7 for both (free for kids under 12).

⭐️ 🖼️ There’s a plethora of vintage markets these days (see above), but the Vintage Roundup distinguishes itself by having a thoughtful selection of vendors. Also, it’s right here in Albany, in the Warehouse District, so you can really make a day of it. The market features more than 60 local vendors and food popups, plus live music. Sat, 11a-5p, free.

This week's events roundup is brought to you by Lost & Found, a lively bar and kitchen in Albany’s Warehouse District known for its relaxed vibe, outdoor patio, and mix of craft cocktails, beers and slushies!

⭐️ = Top 5 Staff Picks

⭐️ 🍗 More than a dozen downtown restaurants are competing in the annual Glens Falls Wing Fest—and tastings are just $1 each. Also, at 2 pm, get to Davidson Brothers for the 5th Annual Mike Dubray Inferno Wing Eating Contest. Sat, 12-3p, free. Meanwhile, over in Schenectady, the 2026 Tater Trot returns after a hiatus in 2025 to crown the next spuds champ. Sat, 11a-3p, free ($1 samples).

⭐️ 🍺 Night at the Newseum is a craft beer, wine and food tasting held inside the historic Saratoga Springs History Museum at the Canfield Casino. The organizers promise that it’s “not your standard brew fest,” meaning the tastings will be elevated—and the ticket price reflects it! Fri, 5-9p, $62.20 for GA and $77.50 for VIP.

⭐️⛴️ There ought to be more cool cruises like this. Should we organize one for The 518 Crew? Created by Metroland photographer Kiki Vassilakis and presented by Empire Standard, the Canna Cruise is billed as a “curated cannabis-friendly social experience set against the scenic backdrop of the Hudson River.” Which we think means you’ll be cruisin’ for a good time on the water, with tunes compliments of DJ Harlan. Fri, 6-8p, $33.85.

⭐️ 🌳 Troy Botanical Garden’s Spring Fest features pony rides, petting zoo, live music, local vendors, and a spring buffet. Bring the kids along, and discover whimsical miniature sculptures tucked among the blooms. The garden should be bursting with springtime splendor. Note that the buffet is actually priced separately and requires a reservation! Sat-Sun, 10a-3p, $7 for garden admission.

⭐️ 👁️ The Corpus Festival at EMPAC explores how bodies create meaning and shape social experience through movement, performance and participation. Across performances, installations, talks, and video works, artists transform EMPAC into a shared space for reflection, connection, and community, inviting audiences to notice the hidden structures of power, identity, and collective life. Read more about it here. Thur-Sat, 9a-5p, free.

Honorable mention:

⭐️ 🍁 The Schoharie County Maple Festival features fresh maple products, local crafters, live entertainment, kids activities, demonstrations, pancake breakfast and other maple themed foods. Sat, 9a-4p, free.
