8 hour layover, enough time to leave airport&visit the city?

i'm looking at a flight that has an 8 hour layover in gdańsk. would that be enough time to travel from the airport to the city center and walk around for a bit? also, what is the transport connectivity like from the airport to the city, and how much would it cost to go there and back? any highlights that a local would recommend in this time frame that aren't touristy? food, parks, relaxing activities in between flights? thanks!

probably not accurate at all, but this is how i pictured Demeisen when reading Surface Detail

i know Banks described Demeisen as a bit more unnaturally gaunt (and i believe eyebrowless) but for some reason i couldn't picture him as anything other than Gesaffelstein, in both shiny black and normal skinned forms. this image still remains in my head whenever i think of the character lol
