Why is there still no ambient light sensor in Keychron keyboards in 2026?
I’ve been using the Logitech MX Mechanical Mini, and the ambient light sensor completely changed how I use backlighting.
It automatically turns the lights on/off depending on the environment. No manual toggling. No wasted battery. It just works.
Now going back to a keyboard without this feels… outdated.
Keychron nails build quality, layouts, and customization, but this feels like a basic UX feature that’s missing.
Is this a design choice, a technical limitation, or just not a priority?
Am I the only one who thinks this should be standard by now?
