I ran into a problem today trying to charge my 26 at a Tesla destination charger. There were 4 units in the parking area with one of them looking like a newer model and the other three slightly older. The older models would not send any power but the new model would but only 2.5kw. My working theory is that the older models need some sort of confirmation that the car is a teslas before sending current.
