For anyone needing crypto data building crypto algos or dashboards, getting fast, reliable real-time data across multiple exchanges is still a major pain point.

Here's a quick breakdown of what I’ve tested or seen people use:

  • Direct exchange WebSockets (Binance, Bybit, etc.): Extremely low latency on their own exchange, but maintaining separate connections + dealing with different formats, rate limits, and reconnections gets messy fast when you want 5+ exchanges.
  • CCXT (free version): Good for unified REST, but the free WebSocket support is pretty limited. Not great for true low-latency strategies.
  • CoinGecko / CoinMarketCap: Easy and generous free tiers, but mostly delayed REST calls. Their WebSocket options are either weak or behind paid plans.
  • Paid providers (Polygon, Kaiko, etc.): Excellent latency and reliability, but the pricing gets expensive quickly once you scale.
  • Free providers: Most are either heavily rate-limited, delayed, or only offer basic REST. However, one that stood out for me is TickrData single normalized WebSocket with very low latency (as low as 5ms) across multiple exchanges.

Has anyone else found a great free setup for low-latency multi-exchange crypto data? What are you currently using?

Treat savings like a fixed bill you can’t miss. It builds up faster than most people expect. Has anyone else had success with this approach?

This helped me get past automated filters multiple times. It’s not about lying, just making sure your real experience gets seen. Has anyone else had success with this?
