Weirdest orders you've seen?

I'm curious to know about some of the orders everyone has seen. I've seen some photos shared here but I want to know more 👀

Me personally I feel like it's often me who picks the orders that have an absurd amount of specific items. Yesterday I picked an order that was eight items but had a total quantity of 41. The customer ordered about 12 boxes of cereal, some of which I had to sub for something similar because we were out (the boxes were on sale for $1.99). She also ordered 4 boxes of Fruit Roll-Ups, 4 large boxes of granola bars, EIGHT six-packs of original apple sauce and cinnamon apple sauce (again, one had to be subbed because she got what was left) and she also wanted 15 bags of Corn Nuts. We did not have 15 bags. It looked like a child ordered it lol.

Back in September, when I was still relatively new, I completed a larger order in which this customer ordered about 8 value size jars of mayonnaise, 12 boxes of cream cheese, and 22 boxes of a particular type of pasta. I remember the numbers because it was such a strange order. We were low on the mayonnaise and cream cheese and she was not too happy about it. She use the chat function to ask for a rain check so I went to the back to look for the cream cheese and we were out. I think she said she could go elsewhere for the mayo, which is funny because she could have just done this anywhere else in the first place (like Costco where you can buy everything in bulk). Finally I got the order done but man... sometimes these particular orders are not fun despite how easy it might seem to grab multiples of one item

First day of Batch Picking!

Walked into work today and noticed the labels looked different like they were supposed to. A co-worker said batch picking had finally started but we were getting behind on orders so not too many batched picks were available. My first pick for today was a batched one so I scanned my totes and printed my labels. It went okay.

The second time there was an error. I scanned the totes, got the labels printed, and went to pick. Produce is where you are upon entering the store so that's always where I start. This batched pick had three orders in it. One customer wanted two bags of organic apples, so I grab them and was about to scan them in—the system messed up the order of the totes or something. So tote 1 was for Customer A and the tote immediately below was for Customer B, and I knew that because of the labels. However the system wanted me to scan the tote for Customer B even though the apples were for Customer A. I ended up putting the apples back and went back to our DUG room so I could try to start over. A flash order came in so I ended up picking that and someone else took over the batched pick.

In total today we had under ten batched picks because it was getting busy. I'm kind of glad we were able to experience it so we can get a feel for it, but it is a little annoying. I wasn't willing to try folding the paper bags to make them fit in the totes, but when the special DUG bags come in that will definitely be a huge help (I even told a co-worker I will rejoice the day we get the bags).

So far my only issue with it is lack of bagging as we go AND staging it all at once, especially because we have little space in our DUG room. The day the new bags arrive needs to get here quick
