Hi Folks,
When I got my ‘24 CPO GV60 Performance in mid-March, I didn’t take advantage of the 3 months free, lower data hotspot. I use the hotspot a lot, and immediately called to upgrade it. I already had a Verizon account for our family phones and just used that account. The upgrade had to be done through Verizon.
That Hotspot stopped working two weeks ago. Any one had that happen, and if so, how did you eventually resolve it?
I noticed that when I log in through the Verizon app, I only see my smartphones in the devices, although I see the hotspot in the bill. When I log in to the same page with the same account, but from the Genesis app/Subscriptions/Manage Verizon Hotspot, I see it under devices, along with my other cell phones, and on my bill. So, I called Verizon first. They too couldn’t initially see the hotspot on my plan. But when I gave them the IMEI number for the car, they found it. After some troubleshooting, including using the “reconfigure” option, and doing the two button system reset in accessories mode, they said it’s a Genesis issue, and got me on a conference call with Genesis. Genesis support agreed it’s their issue. They tried a few things that didn’t work. I also tried disconnecting the car battery 15 mins after getting home, leaving it disconnected for 15 mins, and reconnecting it. That reset a lot of things. But the Hotspot wasn’t fixed. At this stage I’m waiting for Genesis support to call me back. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
