My study permit expired on 31.12.2025
I applied to extend the study permit on 12.12.2025

IRCC withdrew this application on 08.04.2026 stating that the form I used for extension was incorrect. I had used the visitor visa extension form and not study permit extension form.

I was studying for 2 years on a valid study permit and only have 9 months remaining in my course.

IRCC call centre state that my restoration period is over and since my study permit has expired that I have to leave Canada?

I have spent more $90,000 and 2 years of my life which would go to waste if I left Canada now without completing my course.

Is there anyone that can help me or advise me on what I should do?
