Hi all. I have accepted position at a small elementary school teaching special areas. My background is in art education, which I will be teaching, but I will be expected to teach PE as well. We don’t have a curriculum for PE, and while I have some ideas, I have never taught PE before. I am not sure where to start. Does anyone have any recommendations? Is there a great book I should read, a YouTube channel I should check out, some magical PE trick that makes the year magical? 😂 I would love some help. Thanks!

Hi all. I am taking a specials areas teaching position at small elementary school next year. I will be teaching music every other 9 weeks. My background is in art education, and I have never taught music before. I have been a trained vocalist for most of my life, but I mostly learn by ear and know little about reading music. My new school has Quaver, but I have heard that it is hit or miss. I would love some advice on where to get started. Whether that is a book recommendation, a YouTube channel to watch, some tips and tricks, a cool lesson you’ve taught, etc… literally anything. I need some guidance! I want to make sure I am prepared, and that my kiddos are able to participate in engaging lessons. Thanks!
