Way/tool to organize songs & playlists for radio show? I was approved to produce/host a weekly community radio show. I need some way to create playlists, search for and pick songs, save playlists so I know what I've played before, etc. Basic question I know. Station doesn't have something like this.
Note: I haven't started yet. The station doesn't help with things like this, which is totally fine--please don't suggest that :)
MORE: right now, if I think of a song I might someday want to include in a show--just so I don't forget it--I go toYouTube and tag it as "Future Show," which obviously gets me nothing except a reminder.
For awhile I did have a spreadsheet where I'd add songs I'd think of and jot down title, performer, year, decade, genre(s), mood, themes/keywords, tempo--but that doesn't help with the actual creation of a playlist.
I'd also like some way to track how often I play a song as well as that band/artist. It would also be awesome to be able to export the playlist to a website I would manage myself for the show.
How do people do this? Is there software or an app or apps? Any inexpensive or free? It's a volunteer gig. Thanks for your ideas/suggestions.
