Pregnant 3rd Tri. Low free T4, but normal TSH levels

I just got my recent labs back at 38 weeks pregnant. Free T4 has been low end the whole pregnancy but now is officially low (just under the cut off range) so not extreme but still low.

TSH has been normal right in mid range (not high or low) my whole pregnancy.

I have adequate iodine intake and no I don’t take biotin that would alter the lab results. I also had blood drawn in the morning.

I saw a few studies citing cognitive issues in babies born to mothers with low T4, so I’m worried.

Anyone have slightly low T4 and normal TSH in pregnancy and everything end up ok?

LABS:

My TSH 1.75 (range .45 - 4.5)

My FREE T4 .81 (range .82 - 1.77)

Bummer to post here….but hey, here I am.

I’m due to give birth in 3 weeks so while I do understand hem’s are common with pelvic and bowel pressure during pregnancy I’m worried about the blood streaming.

I have had hemorrhoids on and off since the birth of my (9 lb) son. I can go months without bleeding and then sometimes it hits. Sometimes just hemorrhoids and sometimes with accompanying blood.

Usually it’s just bright red blood in the bowl or a few drops on toilet paper.

Now it’s streaming out (sounds like pee) when I’m going #2. The blood does stop once the BM is over - I don’t continue to lose blood uncontrollably in my underwear after or anything. Anyhow though, this seems or looks like a lot of blood to lose?

This has been going on since Monday so about 5 days of these episodes.

I go about 2 times a day so having that much blood streaming out is worrying me.
I occasionally get a small “clot” of blood on the toilet paper when wiping after a BM as well.

Has anyone dealt with this and luckily it wasn’t enough to drop your hemoglobin or cause anemia? The amount of blood looks alarming so just looking for similar stories.

I am due to get bloodwork Monday so I will follow up - just looking for peace of mind from some of you until then.

I appreciate the feedback.
