My son is 9 and has been begging to fish. I’m trying to learn as much as I can as quickly as I can but I know catching just takes time and experience.

We looked at some different ways to go about it and have landed on wading, and trout fishing with lure and reel.
I’ve fished Mill Creek with him in Dexter twice. With no luck, and him getting soaked.

If you guys have any pro tips, or direction for good spots in SE MI to wade it would be so helpful.

Just trying to be a good dad, and him catching will make it all worth it.
