Rum and Roses - 1/30/2026 - Salt Lake City, UT
youtube.com[Setlist Thread] 2026-05-08 - Viva El Gonzo, San José del Cabo, Mexico
How about last night? The Dogs delivered something special for those that made the long trek south of the border to Viva El Gonzo, debuting a brand-spankin' new original, "Throw It Away." Now the band is back in action tonight for Round 2 in San José del Cabo, and it’s gonna be a (very) late one! Like the New Orleans show played this past April, this set also technically takes place entirely during the early AM, with the Dogs scheduled to start when the clock strikes two on Saturday morning.
Last year, when the Dogs had the late nite booking at El Gonzo, Rick & Peter from Goose joined in for a few tunes. A user here on yesterday's setlist thread described it as "a peak moment for me and my 2 favorite bands." I don't think it's out of the question to anticipate another collaboration tonight.
After this booking, the band will get a proper two weeks of rest before their next gig at Legend Valley for Dark Star Jubilee, which will serve as their final send-off before the official start of summer tour on 5/30 in Montana.
Feel free to use this space to chat before, during, after, and about the show!

PRE-SHOW TUNES
2025-05-09 - San José del Cabo, Mexico - Last year's late night set featuring Rick and Peter for Boogie On & Trunk Rum. They "know how to throw one hell of a party," and the performance speaks for itself.
2026-05-07 - San José del Cabo, Mexico - Woke up this morning and the very first thing I did was check out the new original the gang put out last night. I'm only just now listening to the rest of the show in context, but it's clear the Dogs delivered the heat on day 1.

Spring Tour may have officially come to a close, but the Dogs still have some work to do this week. Tonight features the first of three sets the band proper is scheduled to play in this interim period between tours, two of which are set to take place here at Viva El Gonzo in San José del Cabo.
This is the Dogs’ second consecutive year supporting Goose here for their festival in Mexico, with tonight and tomorrow serving as the band's 10th and 11th shows outside the United States overall (5th & 6th if ya don’t count Jam Cruise).
There's a great day of music ahead of those who made it down to Mexico: Kitchen Dwellers, Mikaela Davis, and Cory Wong are all on the schedule leading up to Dogs, who have the last performance of the day before Goose does their thing. The band will get their set underway promptly at 8 PM on the Crania stage, and they'll get a late set at the same spot tomorrow night as well. Note this part of Mexico is in the Mountain Time Zone but does not observe Daylight Savings, so times below are in MST not MDT.
Nugs is planning on streaming some shows from this festival, but it unfortunately doesn’t look like Dogs are on the video schedule. Still, feel free to use this space as a place to chat about the show if you made the trip, or once you have a chance to listen to soundboard.

2023-05-20 - Reykjavík, Iceland - This wasn’t the band’s first show outside U.S. borders (Jam Cruise '23), but it was their first booking in another country. The Dogs got a brief chance to swing over to Iceland to support the Disco Biscuits, playing an aftershow this night and an opening set on the second. This one is the jammier of the two sets, anchored by a great Samba/Eyes/Tillie sequence.
2025-05-08 - San José del Cabo, Mexico - This one's got half of the music played by the Dogs at El Gonzo '25. The setlist was almost like a bite-sized version of the Stone Pony Summer Stage show the band would play later that summer.

Tour Games Champion: Matt Wiley!
Thanks all for a great time!
We’ve reached the end of Spring Tour and I’m excited to share that we have a new tour games champion, Matt Wiley!
You win two tickets to a Dogs show of your choice! (with some restrictions) Someone will reach out to you soon via the email address associated with your Lure Account.
Also congratulations to Let~U~Go~14, who won a random drawing for a mystery dogs merch item! Someone will reach out to you as well the same way. (All players who scored at least 20 points this tour were eligible for the random drawing. Link to RNG Results.)
Thanks all for playing, and hope you return when we resume at the end of the month for the start of summer tour!
The finish line is here! After an ambitious and grueling tour, the Dogs have returned to Tennessee to deliver one final performance before closing the book on Spring ‘26.
Despite averaging 130 shows a year since ‘22, the Dogs have never played Memphis. Nashville, which hosted the 4th show of this tour, is actually the farthest West in Tennessee the band played in the past. Geographically, the closest the Dogs have ever gotten to this part of the state was when they held Winter ‘23 and ‘25 gigs in Little Rock (135 mi west) and Oxford (86 mi south), respectively.
Today’s show is a mid-afternoon booking at RIVERBEAT Music Festival hosted at Tom Lee Park right up against the Mississippi River. I can definitively say that this is one of the most unique billings I’ve seen the band take part in since I’ve started following them. Check this lineup: Dogs, St Vincent, T-Pain, and Dave Matthews Band. I don’t know if these acts will ever be all under one roof ever again - that’s the magic of festival season!
Dogs will open the day’s activities at 4:15 on the primary, “Orion Financial Stage” for a 45-minute set, so make sure you arrive on time to show your support. Feel free to use this space to chat before, during, after, and about the show.
Housekeeping: Spring Tour Games on Lure concludes with this show and will return at the start of Summer Tour in Livingston (i.e. no tour games for Gonzo/DSJ).

2023-02-19 - Little Rock, AR - The absolute stones on this band to play Tookin’ Around (the Ozarks sucked!) in Arkansas never fails to amuse me. Also Free Bird.
2025-02-11 - Oxford, MS - The closest the Dogs have ever gotten to Memphis. This show slipped under the radar a bit during ‘25, but holds up exceptionally. The Nico>Tillie>Too High sequence is still worth coming back to on the reg.

On the docket tonight is the Dogs’ final headlining show of the Spring. While the band's billed tour won't officially close until after Sunday's mid-afternoon festival booking in Memphis, this will be their last main act until the end of the month brings them to Montana for the start of summer's slate. The band won't be completely off for the month of May - El Gonzo and Dark Star Jubilee are right around the corner - but their schedule will significantly relax after this weekend.
The Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex has been the band's area of choice in Texas since they first played the Lone Star State in '22 on Twiddle Tour, and it's not a stretch to say that Deep Ellum has been their venue of choice in the metro as well. Of the 7 events the band has held in the DFW, tonight’s show will be the 5th at the Art Co.
This space’s history with the Dogs runs even deeper. This triple-purpose art gallery, bar, and live music space was the site of the band's very first show in Texas, when they went on a similar three-night run as openers through Dallas, Houston, and Austin a little under four years ago. After a quick detour to Granada Theater during Pigeons Tour in Fall ‘23, the Dogs returned to headline Deep Ellum for the first time in early '24 (a show I’ve spoken at length about on these boards). The band came back during that November for two more nights before giving Fort Worth proper some love at Tannahill's just three months later.
Now, we’re finally back to the start, at the place where it all began for the Dogs in this state. This night caps off what has been a well-played three-night run through Texas, and you know the band is going to leave it all out on the stage for those that show up tonight. I’ll see y’all there for this one. As always, feel free to use this space to chat before, during, after, and about the show.

PRE-SHOW TUNES
2024-02-03 - Dallas, TX - At this point, this one shouldn't need an introduction. It's the crown jewel of the band's hot run thru Texas in '24, featuring one of my favorite themed setlists.
2024-11-01 - Dallas, TX - Part one of the band's two-night booking at this venue during (imo) one of the strongest tours they've ever played. It's difficult to separate this performance from the following night - they are best paired together if you have the time.
2024-11-02 - Dallas, TX - Part 2 in Fall '24. Don't. Bogart. That. Joint!

Hope everyone has had some time to dry out after last night’s conditions! We’re inching ever-closer to the end of the Dogs’ Spring Tour as the band makes it through the Lone Star State this weekend. Even with three shows to go, it’s hard to believe we’re already at the start of May.
Tonight marks the Dogs' third booking in Houston, but their first outside of Last Concert Cafe, which sits about two miles from tonight's venue across the Buffalo Bayou and hosted the band’s previous two gigs here. The Dogs first made it to Houston a little under four years ago on Twiddle Tour before getting their first chance to headline in 2024. That was the last time they visited the Space City for a show, as the band’s most recent trip to Texas bypassed Houston in favor of DFW and Austin.
House of Blues is a chain of concert venues and restaurants with 11 active locations around the country. The org was actually founded, in part, by Dan Aykroyd (The Blues Brothers) and Aerosmith in Massachusetts before the brand quickly expanded throughout the continental U.S. The Houston venue actually has three performance areas: a large music hall, a mid-size room, and an intimate lounge. The Dogs are on their own in the "mid-tier" Bronze Peacock tonight. Doors 7, Dogs 8!
Feel free to use this spot as a place to chat before, during, and after the show!

PRE-SHOW TUNES
2024-02-01 - Houston, TX - This was the band's headlining debut in H-Town, a show I feel has become a bit underrated over the years. Understandable to some extent - it stands in the shadow of 2/3/24, which is probably still my favorite show of the '24 Winter Tour. This show lacks the setlist theming of that later date, but makes up for that with some fire individual moments that should not be skipped. If you do nothing else today, listen to that 23-min Shakedown Street!
2026-04-30 - Austin, TX - For those that missed last night, we already have been blessed with the full soundboard. The Dogs braved the thunderstorms rolling through Texas and made sure the show still went on! I felt Look Johnny in particular was a huge highlight.

Following an eventful late night pit-stop in New Orleans, the Dogs have reached Texas with the final leg of their Spring Tour dead in their sights. On the docket is a three-night run through the Lone Star State with a festival booking in Memphis to cap off the weekend and this Distroid-themed tour as a whole (that's four more days for those of you keeping track at home).
Texas has earned a respectable 12 shows over the years, and the Dogs generally play some combination of Austin/Houston/Dallas when they drop by. The band’s first ever booking in the capitol was actually at tonight’s venue during a similar three-night run as openers on Twiddle Tour in 2022. They came back the following year to open for Pigeons at Historic Scoot Inn on Halloween, and returned less than a 100 days later during their first headlining run through Texas’ big 3 in Feb. 2024. That growth led the Dogs to their own gig at Scoot during Winter ‘25, and brings us up to tonight at the Mohawk for the band’s first-ever headlining act at this spot.
Mohawk is another dual-stage venue, with both indoor & outdoor setups. The indoor configuration allows for an intimate 150-cap setting, while the outdoor stage, where the Dogs play tonight, can fit in close to 1000. Accuweather forecast notes today is "cloudy and humid with a couple of showers and thunderstorms, heaviest late in the day,” so be prepared to get a little damp, and maybe a Stevie Lew opener. I read some past attendees’ testimony of this place, and it seems like we only have to be worried about a postponement if there is lightning in the vicinity of the venue. So let’s hope Mother Nature saves the nastiest conditions for after the gig. If I hear about any delays I’ll be sure to update this post.
Doors open at 7 tonight and My Nextdoor Neighbor will kick things off with some prog jamtronica at 8. Dogs from 9:15 to Midnight. Feel free to use this spot as a place to chat before, during, and after the show!

PRE-SHOW TUNES
2023-10-31 - Austin, TX - Of the band’s five Haloween bookings, this is the only opening gig of the bunch (though they did play a Dead&Co after-show on 10/31/19 in NYC). It's a short, but incredibly unique set that includes the last known performance of Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite! (played 3x in Fall '23 before it dropped out of the band's rotation), the first and only Ghost Riders out of Creep, one of the briefest Spuns on record, and 1/2 of all known plays of Theme from Halloween.
2024-02-02 - Austin, TX - The Dogs’ headlining debut in Austin, this show held the crown for my personal favorite Gumball until I felt it was dethroned by Moontown in August. This two-setter also has the rare 2001-filled Blues for Brian sandwich, and some nice exploration in Appleseed + Look Johnny.
2025-02-08 - Austin, TX - Last year's return to Scoot. This one's got three meaty jams in Go Set, Charlie, and Bent Strange, and the only performance of Little Feat's Dixie Chicken to date.

The YouTube channel is really pumping out these vids this year! This one from late Winter Tour just was uploaded today.
After a frantic four-night weekend run, the Dogs have ended up in New Orleans, as we all have from time to time. While they’re here, it looks like they’ll get up to some late night shenanigans on Bourbon Street!
The two-week long New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival is the backdrop to tonight’s event at the Toulouse Theatre, but even that short of a statement’s a bit misleading three-times over. First, this show isn’t technically billed as part of the Jazz Fest (though it is why many are here this week). Second, Jazz Fest runs Thursday thru Sunday across two consecutive weeks, but we can round up to “two-week long.” Finally, while this show is billed for tonight, it’s going to take place entirely during 4/29 thanks to a prompt midnight start time.
Like a lot of other cities the band has played this tour, the Dogs made their first stop in New Orleans in the opening slot for Twiddle in Fall '22. They returned a year later in the same role for Pigeons at the same spot. Six months later the band was back for Daze Between at Faubourg Brewery, and Tipitina's got a 3rd chance to host Dogs for Shorty Fest in Spring '25. A day after Shorty Fest (which featured Robert Randolph and Jake Clemons for half the set), the Dogs held their first-ever headlining gig in the Big Easy at Chickie Wah Wah. The same spot had the Dogs back a few days later, which served as the sendoff for the band’s trip to El Gonzo ‘25.
Tonight's event will be the band’s 7th in NOLA, hosted in the middle of the French Quarter at the historic Toulouse Theatre. It’s just a block from Bourbon Street and 3 blocks from the Mississippi River, which creates challenges when New Orleans is partying. This joint began as a cinema in '69 before transitioning into a live performance space in '77. It's gone through a few ownership and name changes since - you might know this spot as Shim Sham Club or One Eyed Jacks - but after another bout of renovations in 2021 it settled on the Toulouse Theatre. Regardless of the name on the sign, a lot of great acts have played here (thumb through here if ya get the chance, you might be surprised).
As previously noted, we got a late start time tonight. Doors open at 11, one phat set scheduled from midnight to 2:30. Feel free to use this as a catch-all space to chat before, during, and after the show.

PRE-SHOW TUNES
2022-10-28 - New Orleans, LA - The Dogs' debut in New Orleans, opening for Twiddle at Tipitina's. To date, this is the only known time the band has played Great Balls of Fire! Don't miss the smokin' fast that Bent Strange too.
2023-10-29 - New Orleans, LA - The band's 1st return to Tipitina's. After all these years, this show still has the longest Trunk Rum on record
2024-04-30 - New Orleans, LA - This Daze Between '24 set took place just under two years ago at Faubourg Brewery. Though it's only a 60-min set, the band still had enough time to go pretty deep into G Song.

And just like that, it's the Show-Me State's turn! We're at the end of a busy four-night run across four states for the Dogs, who are coming down to St. Louis by way of Illinois, Kentucky, and Michigan to cap off this week. After this show, the band will get a much-deserved day off before the final stretch of their Spring Tour takes them through Louisiana, Texas, and Tennessee.
This will be the band's 6th stop in St. Louis since they played at Central Stage in Summer '22. Five months after that debut, they played tonight’s venue for the first time - as openers on Twiddle tour. The Dogs returned to the city for an oft-cited Cinco de Mayo show in '23 before moving up the ranks to Atomic on their smokin’ hot Fall 2024 tour. That October booking was actually the last time the band headlined in the Gateway to the West - their pit-stop here in 2025 was in a supporting role for PPPP at the tail end of the Dogs’ Fall tour. That's not to say Missouri has been neglected entirely, as the state got two headlining gigs in Springfield (highly underrated) & K.C. in '25.
But tonight, it’s St. Louis’ time to shine once again. The band is back at Delmar Hall on the same stage they opened for Twiddle on in November ‘22 (I know at least one poster here who was there). This spot is the companion venue to The Pageant and holds up to 750. No opener, Dogs get on stage at 8 an hour after doors. Show up and show out!

PRE-SHOW TUNES
2023-05-05 - St. Louis, MO - This was night one of an eight-show leg the Dogs took through the south (after the Colorado Takeover Tour, but before they jetted off to Iceland in late May ‘23). It's known for the enormous Ghost Riders jam that opens the first set - a true one-of-a-kind - and the Cinco de Mayo-influenced second set.
2024-10-29 - St. Louis, MO - I've hyped up the Dogs' Fall '24 tour on these boards quite a bit, but when you have shows like this one to pick from, it's hard not to! This one's got the full-band debut of Joseph's Dream, but what you really come back for is the monstah G Song and the delicious Go Set>Time Loves>Charlie>Battenkill>Charlie sequence.
2025-02-04 - Springfield, MO - A truly heady show, this is a gig you wish you were at just for the song selection - CWFT, Men of Steel, Inchworm, All the Same at the same spot. Do I need to go on?
SETLIST
Set 1: Didn't You Know?, Today -> You Didn't Hear It From Me, 6 Little Lies > Green Earrings[1], Waiting for the Train, G Song
Set 2: Tillie -> Bring It On Up, So What[2] -> Writing on the Wall, Linus & Lucy[3] -> Lucia's Secret, Thomas Duncan, Pt. 3
Encore: Yum T Dum > Fire[4]
[1] Steely Dan
[2] Miles Davis
[3] Vince Guaraldi
[4] Jimi Hendrix Experience

We've reached the midway point of one of the busiest travel weekends for the band this tour. The Dogs just came out of back-to-back shows held at venues in two different states, and now they gotta do the same thing again tonight and tomorrow in Illinois and Missouri.
Historically, the band has come to this part of the Prairie State for opening and/or Festival gigs. The Dogs did stop at tonight's venue for the first time for a headlining act in Fall '22, but their returning trips to Peoria and the surrounding area have typically been in support of other acts.
Their September '23 trip to Urbana (90 min southeast from here) saw the Dogs open for Andy Frasco and the U.N., and the two bands would come together again in Peoria proper five months later at Revival Music Hall. June '24 featured another dual Frasco/Dogs booking, this time in New Berlin (90 min south). The band has also been out to nearby Chillicothe 2x in the past for SCamp Fest, but it's still been nearly four years since the Dogs have returned to headline this part of the country.
That streak ends tonight! The Dogs are back at Kenny's Westside Pub for an all-Dogs Saturday night affair. Doors are set for 7, with the Dogs planning to get out on the stage promptly at 8. After tonight, the band will conclude their four-night run through this region with a Sunday night special in St. Louis.
Feel free to use this space to chat before, during, and after the show!

PRE-SHOW TUNES
2022-09-24 - Peoria, IL [Set 1] / [Set 2] - For this one you got to go to YouTube instead of Bandcamp/Nugs, but you'll be rewarded with the full performance of the Dogs' debut in Peoria. Check it out!
2024-02-13 - Peoria, IL - The band’s second trip to Peoria at Revival Music Hall from '24. This show saw the band open for Andy Frasco, and was three nights removed from the start of the band's famous run at the Bluebird in Denver. The meat of this short set is a 17-min Bubble - they haven't gone longer than that on the tune since.
2024-06-04 - New Berlin, IL - This one might have my all-time favorite standalone Stranger (at 16:54, sill in the top 5 longest iterations).

Set 2: Thomas Duncan, Pt. 2 > Charlie > In Your Eyes[2], Criminal[3] -> Rabbit > White Rabbit
Encore: Chop Shop
[1] FTP, Traffic
[2] Peter Gabriel
[3] Fiona Apple

H-O-T-T-O-G-O! Last night's show in Kalamazoo was a great one for a stream (check out Appleseed when the board drops!), but now it's time for round two of the Dogs' four-night slalom through the Great Lake states and the Midwest.
The Dogs are in Covington, KY, but they might as well be playing Cincinnati tonight. The Madison Theater, site of tonight’s gig, sits “just six blocks away” from the Queen City across the Ohio River. The address technically hosts two venues: Madison Theater and Madison Live, both of which the band has played in the past. The Dogs’ first trip to this joint was actually all the way back in Fall '22, when they played the theater as support for Twiddle. They came back four months later with Hayley Jane at the 300-cap secondary room, before taking a quick detour out to nearby Newport in ‘24 to play the MegaCorp Pavilion on Pigeons/Frasco/Dogs Tour. Now they’re finally back at the Madison, and headlining the big room to boot!
Tom Hamilton, JRAD’s shredding wizard, is also here. He’ll come out with his band at 7 to open the show, with the Dogs set to follow at 8:15. Note this is an earlier start time than the one that has been listed on the Madison Theater website, so if you want to catch both acts, get there when doors open at 6:30.

PRE-SHOW TUNES
2022-09-08 - Morning View, KY - This performance took place at Thornhill Dragstrip for 2022's Birds of a Feather Festival, and marked the Dogs' first-ever trip to Kentucky. With festivals you tend to expect the band to play about 60 minutes, but this tape stands at nearly 2 hours in length. This one is primarily known for the massive Royals, but don't sleep on the Walkin on the Spun.
2023-03-08 - Covington, KY - We unfortunately don't have a tape of the band's first stop in Covington back in '22, but their return the following March survives (at least the Dogs' set). This one starts with a heater of a Crazy and maintains that energy through the rest of the set.
2024-06-02 - Newport, KY - This 74-minute set was performed on the PFD Tour in '24. Opening with Rave, and anchored by substantial versions of YDHIFM and Bird Song, this night is a perfect listen if you don't have the time for a standard length show.
SETLIST
Set 1: Power Trip, Hesitate, Little Things, My Disguise, Let U Go -> Trunk Rum
Set 2: Look Johnny II, Nicolette, Snake Oil[1], Burning Daylight -> Snow Day, Spun
Encore: Bugle on the Shelf
[1] The New Tony Williams Lifetime
