Spoiler-Free Preview Roundup
Just a moment ago the preview embargo lifted and critics were able to talk about their experience with the first 6-8 hours of the game. These previews show quite a lot of the game, so if you want to stay spoiler-free I would advise against watching them.
Here's a brief summary of everyone's overall thoughts about the game:
- The game is very difficult.
- The world and level design is extremely intricate and deceptively ambitious, much more so than the demo let on. Exploration is a massive highlight.
- There is a vast variety of weapons, sidearms, and trinkets which are all fun to experiment with.
- There are many, many surprises whether it be NPCs, collectibles, quests, secret bosses, etc.
- The game is very reminiscent of soulsborne games in much more ways than just the spark you lose upon death.
- There are an insane amount of accessibility options (over 100!), however some of them disable achievements.
Overall, the previews are very positive. Full reviews are coming May 27. (2 days before release)
