With the Costing paper around the corner, most students are stuck between “revise everything” vs “focus on selective topics.” From what we’ve seen over multiple attempts, the students who score well in the last few days don’t try to do more—they tighten what already gives marks.

Here’s a quick breakdown you can follow right now:

1. Don’t chase the full syllabus
At this stage, it’s about high-weightage + frequently tested areas. Costing is very pattern-driven.

2. RTPs, MTPs & PYQs > New Questions
ICAI repeats concepts, formats, and adjustments. If you’re short on time, this alone can carry your score.

3. Formats = Easy marks
Cost Sheet, Reconciliation, Process/Contract accounts—presentation matters more than you think. Many lose marks here despite knowing concepts.

4. Working notes are everything
Even if the final answer is slightly off, proper workings fetch marks.

5. Attempt strategy matters
