Singlecable or poe switch / splitter
Hi all!
Looking to run away from my Nest cams and I'm investing in a reolink NVR with 3 PoE-cams, can't wait to upgrade!
My NVR RLN8-410 would be placed in the garage behind a network switch and power the PoE-cams.
I'm not sure if need to run 3 Cat6 separately to each PoE-camera for best stability. I'm looking into 30m (100ft) cable-distance to each camera, where the 3 cables follow the same route till the carport halfway.
Should I use 1 Cat6 till the carport halfway, install a PoE-switch/extender and continue from there with the 3 seperate (outdoor)cat6-cables for each cam? A splitter just adds 2 camera's on 1 cable, so I would still need a second cable.
Or am I seeing this wrong?
Any advice on hardware is welcome :) This is a switch someone mentioned before on reddit: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0CJ912YWH?ref=cm_sw_r_apan_dp_ZWZSX0YVCSCC0HNZ0AYR_1&social_share=cm_sw_r_apan_dp_ZWZSX0YVCSCC0HNZ0AYR_1&starsLeft=1&skipTwisterOG=1&th=1
Thanks!
