“Kokoro no Hashi no Sofa” from RESET Stage (April 8, 2026) featuring Iwatate Saho, Fukuoka Seina, and Mukaichi Mion who have been supporting each other now for nearly 13 years.

New photos and interviews have been released featuring four AKB48 members modeling real school uniforms created by O.C.S.D. (Osare Company School Design), a collaboration between AKB48’s costume designer, Osare Company, and major uniform manufacturer AKASHI S.U.C. The brand combines their expertise to create original, custom-designed uniforms tailored to each school.

In their interviews, each member shares their thoughts on the uniforms they modeled, along with reflections on their own school days.

AKB48 16th generation member Nagatomo Ayami revealed the back covers for her upcoming 1st photobook during a special SHOWROOM livestream on April 9.

The photobook, titled 「予定外の瞳」 (Yotei-gai no Hitomi, “Unexpected Eyes”), is scheduled to be released on June 5, 2026.

It was previously announced that photobooks purchased from HMV and 7net would feature different front covers from the regular version. It has now also been revealed that the back covers will be unique for each edition as well.

Mion said that RESET is her favorite stage, so for her final time appearing, she and the members vowed to put in “Team K spirit" performing unofficially for the night as "Mukaichi Team K".

On this day three years ago, the eight members of AKB48’s 18th generation were revealed at an event held at AKB48 Theater, marking the start of their journey with the group.

Fast forward to this past weekend, the 18th generation performed a different song together at each of the four shows during AKB48 Spring Concert 2026, showcasing how much they’ve grown as performers.

AKB48 graduate Kashiwagi Yuki will release her first solo CD in over five years. The long-awaited single, “Shiawase Kinenbi,” is scheduled for June 17, 2026, marking her first solo release since graduating from AKB48.

The announcement comes on April 8, 2026, the 20th anniversary of Yukirin and AKB48’s 3rd generation members since their debut.

“Shiawase Kinenbi” was originally released digitally as the theme song for the Fuji TV drama I’m Taking Care of My Ex-Boyfriend’s Cat, which aired in March and starred Kashiwagi herself. The CD will include the drama’s theme song as well as a new coupling track with lyrics written by Yukirin.

The title track "Shiawase Kinenbi” is available now for pre-release streaming.

Further details regarding the CD release will be announced as soon as they are finalized.

Former AKB48 15th generation member Komiyama Haruka has been cast in the lead role of Princess Marina in a musical adaptation of the classic story “Ningyou Hime” (literally “Mermaid Princess”), best known internationally from the Disney adaptation as “The Little Mermaid.”

The production is presented by Gekidan Tōshō, a Japanese theater company known for children’s plays and family-friendly musicals, often staged during school holiday periods such as summer and winter breaks.

Komiyama previously worked with the company in December, reprising her lead role in a musical adaptation of “Snow White” for the second consecutive year, where she showcased her strong vocals and acting.

Performances of “Ningyou Hime” will be held at the Mitsukoshi Theater in Tokyo from July 18 to 21.

Komiyama graduated from AKB48 in February 2025 after nearly 12 years with the group. Since then, she has been primarily active in stage productions and musicals.

Ahead of this role, she will appear in the latest stage production of “Assault Lily” from April 18 to 26, alongside former AKB48 member Sasaki Yukari and current member Takahashi Ayane.

She is also scheduled to host fan events during Golden Week on May 2 and 3, which will feature NMB48 graduate Jonishi Kei and NGT48 graduate Takakura Moeka as special guests.

Mion was the guest today (April 7) on Seichan’s monthly radio program “FukuRaji” held at Shibuya Cross FM's studio.

With her graduation scheduled for the end of the month, this will likely be her final appearance on the show.

It took me about an hour and a half, and I barely finished with around 20 minutes to spare before Mion’s graduation concert started.

I usually don’t bother with random concert photos since you usually have to line up early to get them, and the outfits typically aren’t as appealing to me as the net shop sets are. But Mion's Selected Outfits series is just too good, and I had to try to get Saho's at least.

Yamamoto Sayaka appeared as a musical guest on the Live Stage, while Watanabe Miyuki and Shiroma Miru took to the runway on the Fashion Stage.

For Sayanee, this marks her first appearance at KANSAI COLLECTION in 10 years, and this coming April 17 will be the 10th anniversary of her debut as a solo artist.

KANSAI COLLECTION 2026 SPRING & SUMMER is a fashion and entertainment festival held on April 5 at Kyocera Dome in Osaka.

AKB48 members Iwatate Saho, Fukuoka Seina, Chiba Erii, and Omori Maho performed “Love Shugyou” during Part 1 of AKB48 Spring Concert 2026.

Each of the four is the last remaining member of their respective generation. Saho —the last original member of “Love Shugyou”— also wore her original outfit from the MV released nearly 13 years ago.
