Gemini has officially joined OpenAI and Claude in the "Thinking" model race.

I see Gemini is now pushing the thinking levels on us.

It’s getting more complicated - now you have to pick a model and then manually toggle a thinking level on top of that.

Seems like Google is just following OpenAI’s footsteps of trying to control token usage with these new limits.

I’m guessing the next update will just be an "Auto" mode to simplify the UI, just like we’ve seen earlier :)

Is anyone else finding these new manual selection steps as clunky as I am?

Also, this new 5-hour quota reset is brutal if you're in the middle of a project.

New Gemini UI

Just saw this updated UI. I like it more than the old one.

Seems like the upfront options of create image, music, video didn't have much use.

One core thing I've observed is that they're making everything bigger across their apps.

What do you think?
