I graduated but I think they messed up my financial aid
I've been doing some online digging into financial aid at my alma mater since my sibling has decided to attend but the sticker shock of their aid gave me some concerns. I found some inconsistencies in how aid is given to families and how some people appealed their aid and got money back. Specifically, one person said they reported a sibling in graduate school for their appeal and got a lower bill. I remember calling as an undergraduate asking if my older sibling's graduate school counted and they said no...
I left with 6 figure loans in undergrad (I know, but it's a very prestigious school), and my sibling will be leaving with double if they commit. Something feels off.
Have others had experiences reviewing and appealing former financial aid? Is that even a thing? I have significant loan debt in my family because of this and it looks like it'll only grow with the OBBBA changes this year.
