Hey everyone,

I’m a fairly new DP and I’m about to shoot a horror short where a character hits a creature with an axe, and there are blood spurts involved

We did some tests, and the main issue is that the blood just doesn’t read on camera.

I’m trying to figure out how to light it properly so it actually pops and feels visible and impactful.

Any advice?
