The Dreaded Stent and a Question for the Ladies
Hi everyone,
Recently going through my first bout with kidney stones. I had PCNL surgery a little over 3 weeks ago, and while the first couple of days were rough, I was feeling much better, until last week. Not sure if I did something to mess with the stent or what, but for the past week I've been having Issues, and just wondering if other women have felt the same thing.
I'm feeling a feeling of heaviness that feels like it's in my vagina, along with a kind of stinging/burning pain. I kind of assume my urethra is irritated and it's referred pain/sensation but I guess I just wanted to see if that's an experience other women have had. My bladder also feels irritated but I was expecting that more so I was surprised by this other feeling. It hurts to stand/walk, but feels okay sitting or lying down. I've tried taking azo and oxybutynin (sp?) but neither of those had any effect. It's not terribly painful, but pretty uncomfortable.
I'd love to hear from any women who might have had this same feeling, and if anything helped with it. I have this stent for 5 more weeks so I'm hoping it's not going to feel like this the entire time :/
