Do you have any tips for NEET Life?

Do you guys have any tricks to make life easier as a NEET, especially one that spends most of their time at home?

I'll start with one :

If you want to kill time reading, or self-studу, you can get almost any public domain book for free (including but not limited to everything before around 1926) on Wikisource, Project Gutenberg, and Standard Ebooks. Pirating books is also pretty easy, and you can find almost any book, but I wont link to that here.

Do you relate to the wikipedia page for schizoid personality disorder?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schizoid_personality_disorder

This article is really interesting, anyone who browses here or is NEET should read this. I'll leave some highlights.

  • "feeling as though one is an "observer" rather than a participant in life"
  • "little to no interest in sexual or romantic relationships"
  • "Patients with SzPD often feel unreal, empty, and separate from their own emotions. They tend to perceive themselves as fundamentally different from others and can believe that they are fundamentally unlikeable."
  • "schizoid people often experience feeling 'like a robot' or 'going through life in a dream'."
  • "Affected individuals may be unable to form intimate attachments"
  • "they may engage in excessive daydreaming and introspection."

I am not a schizoid, some of the criteria here I don't fit into at all. I don't want to self diagnose or encourage anyone else to, but many of these passages reflect my life exactly, and I have a feeling a section of posters here feel the same.

Also, many diagnosed schizoids end up NEETs or similar, so I think schizoid traits may allow us to understand why we've ended up like this.
