Hey everyone,

I was trying to buy a warranty extension for my ASUS Vivobook on the official ASUS India store, and I found something completely misleading that feels like a scam.

Here is the official link: or is this a fake scam website ? https://in.store.asus.com/asus-international-warranty-extension-consumer-nb-additional-1-year-wep-nb-acx10-00384unb-pp-wep.html?bdl=0

If you look at the top of the page, the title clearly states it is a "Consumer Notebook Model" warranty. The main promotional image even has bright yellow text explicitly stating "for non-gaming laptop models".

But if you scroll down to the fine print in the "Note" section at the bottom, it says the exact opposite:

>These warranty extensions are tied to your serial number and are non-refundable. If someone with a Vivobook looks at the giant picture saying "for non-gaming laptops" and buys it, their serial number will likely get rejected by the system because of the hidden fine print.

2. Massive Price Discrepancy: To make it even weirder, the price for this 2-year extension on the website is ₹2,449. But when I check the MyASUS app on my laptop, the exact same 2-year extension is being sold for ₹4,999.

Why is there a ₹2,550 difference between their own app and their own website? These packs are non-refundable. If I buy the cheaper one on the site because the giant banner says "for non-gaming laptops," but the fine print (and the app) says otherwise, I’m basically throwing my money away with no way to get it back.

Is ASUS India just copy-pasting their website code without checking it, or is this a bait-and-switch? Be careful before buying anything from their store!
