Orange rutilated quartz
Haven’t seen much rutilated quartz with this coloration, a shame it has so many pockets of dirt like inclusions throughout. Still pretty though.

Made this from a cut off of a Russian Charoite slab I plan on making some cabochons from to get some experience with the material. Sadly the edge chipped after I adhered it to the glue back but it did take a good polish. Any tips for the material before I attempt more expensive pieces?
My camera isn’t the best at acclimating to the bright spots but you get the idea. Been trying to think of a few ways to make a pendant that shines light through the back to get a similar effect.
Asked a friend what someone would want for their birthday and they said to get her a rock. He’s beautiful. xD
Had a piece of Sodalite that had nice natural facets but a good bit of brittle stone on the outside. Polished it up trying to keep as much of the natural shape as possible. Took a good polish so I’m glad it wasn’t brittle all the way through.
This is probably one of the best pieces of velvet obsidian I currently have. From what I can tell it maintains this quality all the way through.
This is a necklace I made out of some super nice velvet obsidian a while back. The letters were by request from someone who wanted to buy it as a gift but for reasons I will not share they ended up canceling because they no longer needed it. It was a fun project either way though and got me much needed practice with the sand blaster.
