hello.

Ive got a female rosy cheeked lovebird shes about 4 years old.

recently as of march she had began overpreening and drawing blood.

ive tried to intervene countless times but to no avail.

the vet simply prescribed antibiotics but they didn’t help.

a bird expert trimmed her beak and recommended mite spray.

The beak trimming helped heal the wound but just as she was able to regrow her beak and sharpen it she went back to overpreening.

i keep cleaning her cage in case of mites but still she keep injuring herself.

ive tried to put on a cone but she eouldnt let me and caught on quickly and started avoiding it.

what could be the possible cases ?

and what should I do?
