Ok, let start this off by saying im new to all this, but a little background first:

I met my friend at my brewing job and he was telling me the glories of saltwater fish keeping. It peaked my interest when he said he could grow corals and fish to supplement his income by over 5,000$ a month. Particularly of interest he mentioned rainbow Harley Quinn akros (?) But anyways, that's not my problem.

He brought this dewer into work of what he called his special "skimmer" brew and told me it was a tradition if you want to get into this hobby you have to drink a beer with the head made in a skimmer (i looked it up and it's looks like it's something that makes foam for the fish to drink?) But it tasted pretty groady not gonna lie. 😅 he told me that the alcohol kills the germs which I believe because he's a good guy and my dad used to tell me that everytime he ate anything undercooked, which was pretty often because we had dirty injectors on our stove top. 😅😅😅 anyways, just looking to find my community and see how you can make those buku bucks in this hobby.

Just going to say right off the bat that I know nothing about this industry, just lurking on here because it's interesting (not trying to be one of you guys)

I saw some posts about hardly not very much welding in the trade and it made me wonder about what you guys think of automation and robotics will lead to in this field? Also do you guys do very much fiberoptic cable work? I've heard that pays a lot on land, so I imagine underwater it has to be valuable to some companies. Hopefully. Because your kind of work should be paying at a bare minimum 125k+ in my opinion.

It unfortunately dried out when I removed the shell, but it only grows on the bottoms of things away from light. Looks like bubble algae but totally clear and I don't have bubble algae anywhere else.
