2018 Renegade having trouble starting

I have a 2018 Renegade, purchased from a family member last fall. Has about 38,000 miles on it. A few weeks ago, I got into my car to run some errands. When I pressed the ignition, the display came on, lights worked, I could listen to music, etc. but the brakes were locked and the engine wouldn’t start up. There was also the briefest flash of the check engine light and a red light with two curved lines and a lightning bolt between them. I figured I needed a tow, so I called AAA. They looked under the hood, tested the battery (I hadn’t left anything on overnight that could’ve drained it) and got it running. The guy told me this can happen if I don’t drive my car “enough” and advised me to drive around for about 30-40 minutes. I did that.

Lo and behold, about an hour later, the same thing happened again. After sitting in a Walgreens parking lot for a half hour, the car miraculously started, so I drove it to the closest mechanic that was open, Goodyear. They held onto the car for about a day and a half and had no issue starting the car during that time. They determined the alternator and charging system were both working fine. The mechanic said to keep an eye on the battery voltage. The voltage seems to stay pretty consistently at 14.8 while I’m driving, occasionally dipping to 14.0 but never lower. Also worth noting that this battery is just over a year old. After that visit, the car ran without issue for about a week and a half. Well, this morning it happened again. However, after a few minutes, the car started.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem and has any suggestions for what it could be.
