Monovision with high prescription - wondering how long your optometrist let you try before buying a full year supply.
My dominant right eye Rx is -10.5 and my left eye is -10. My doc gave me -9 for my left eye to try monovision. I was astounded that I could read up close and thought it was great. Fast forward to 5 days later and I can't read up close as well. Yesterday, the 7th day, I went in for a follw up consult and she gave me -8 for my left eye. Right now I'm typing with blurred vision.
She said it could take 3-5 days for my vision to adjust but I'm reading online that it child take longer. I know everyone's eyes are different but I'm curious how long you were allowed to trial monovision before having to commit.
