Picked up some silver bars from Swiggy Instamart yesterday.

- 50 gm silver bar @ ₹13,510

- 100 gm silver bar @ ₹27,010

Paid using SBI PhonePe Black Select Credit Card, so should get 5% cashback as well. After cashback, the effective cost for 150 gm comes to around ₹38,450, which looks like a pretty decent deal in current market conditions.

What pushed me to buy quickly was the news about the hike in import duty on silver/gold as per the updates received from "WealthyDimes" whatsapp channel.

Bought a 100g BRPL silver bar from Flipkart at a crazy effective price.

Here’s how it went:

- Loaded ₹24,750 worth of Flipkart gift cards via CRED

- Paid only ₹24,215 using Amazon Pay ICICI credit card

- Got 1% cashback (~₹241) on the card

So the final effective cost came down to ~₹23,974 for 100g silver 👀

Pretty neat stacking + credit card + cashback combo. Curious if anyone else is doing similar hacks or if there’s an even better way to optimize this?

Also, how do you guys usually track your effective cost when mixing gift cards + cashback?
