With the Boys season 5 coming out and being pretty good, I think I want to re-edit season 3, 4 and 5 into 2 seasons, so that the show would end on season 4.

The main reason I want to do this is the show lost all pacing in season 4. Season 3 felt like it was ramping up towards the end, just for the finale to put everything on ice and season 4 was almost entirely filler until we near the ending.

My main purpose is to give season 3 the season 4 ending and cut out Soldier boy ever being out of comission. This means the majority of season 4 would be cut, bar the last episode. There are a few things I need to move to season 3 like Fire cracker and Sister Sage.

The hardest part of the edit will be changung soldier boys ending. Basically we need to go from season 3 episode 7 to season 5 episode 3, and cutout any reference to him being put back on ice.

Do you guys have any ideas on how to do this? Or what scenes from season 4 to bring back into season 3?

I'm planning on doing a Man of Steel edit which cuts out all flash backs to Clarkes childhood and replaces them with scenes from Smallville. I was at first going to do this with Christopher Reeves Superman and make it an unofficial season 11, but I don't think that's exactly possible.

Instead my new plan is to try and fix Man of Steel so that my main issues, such as Jonathan Kent and Clarke not being seen as hopeful enough can be solved using Smallville scenes as flash backs. I'm only on season 6, but I think the majority of scenes I want to use will be pre Jonathen Kents death anyways.

it would be cool to show scenes of him unlocking powers, certain conversations with Jonathen Kent, him heing eager to learn about his Kryptonian heritage, and preferably some scenes of him helping or saving people.

What scenes do you guys think would go best? It woild be preferable to have episode and time stamps, but it's fine if not.

I feel like it would be cool to redo the original X-men trilogy with flash backs to X-men origins: Wolverine and maybe Dark Phoenix too becuase that movie is very skippable.

I'd imagine it would go something like this.

X-men 1 is paired with the Sabre tooth scenes from Origins.

X-men 2 is paired with the Stryker scenes from Origins.

X-men 3 could be paired with Dark Phoenix, so swap the Professor X scenes out for better continuity about Charles and his legs. It would also lead into DOFP better. You could even include scenes like when Beast leaves Charles or the space mission to explain Beasts absence and how Jean got the phoenix force powers. Obviously most else of Dark Phoenix would be cut.

I think this would lead to a lot of continuity fixes as Last Stand, First Class and Origins are where the majority of continuity errors in the Foxverse actually come from. Deadpool, Cyclops and Emma Frost would be cut entirely as well to fix continuity issues.

As far as the Dark Phoenix flashbacks, becuase they are in an alternative universe, you would have to work around them quite a bit and only use a few key scenes. Maybe the rest could go towards an Apocalypse edit.

At what point in a story do you think we should reach an inciting incident? Right now i'm at page 200, and think I can cut down to 140 and i'm only just now writing the actual inciting incident. I have like 5 seperate POV characters and estimate my finished manuscript to sit around 600-1,000 pages.

What do you guys think?

Okay, so i've just finished Hawkeye: Echoes. It is still uploading, but can be found in the "It cuts folder" or by automated email.

As for a quick change list, here's how it goes.

it starts with the beginning scene of Echo where we see how her mum died.

We then cut to Kate Bishop meeting her step father. around the first 20 minutes of episode 1 are cut, and so is the Kates mother story line. Certain elements are kept, hut her knowing Fisk or being arrested are cut.

The whole plotline about Clint finding his suit and fighting cosplayers is also cut.

When we see Echoes flash backs, we also get to see Fisk beating up the hotdog stand guy from Echo and her fighting Daredevil, also from Echo. She basically just gets an extended back story.

The movies climax is Clint putting on the Ronin suit and telling Echo the truth.

After this, we see Echo killing Kazi, Echo returning to her family at the end of Echo, and Clint and Kate celebrating Christmas with the Bartons. The watch sub plot is removed.

The first post credit scene is the same one from Echo where Fisk sees a news panel about NYC needing a new Mayor.

Yelena is almost entirely cut from this movie except for the second post credit scene.

Final title card: "The Hawkeyes will return in Black Widow: Sisterhood"

Tying into the Thunderbolts* trilogy.

I would've done a second one for Fisk returning in Born Again but he is a fairly irrelevant character in this movie, appearing much less than he did in Echo or Hawkeye, so I could make sure he had some sort of menace. He had already been beaten twice in Daredevil. Having him be beat by Kate Bishop, and Echo (twice) would genuinely just ruin any credibility he had to be a threat in Born Again.

A fanedit I made to fall in line with my Thunderbolts* trilogy. Becuase Black Widow: Sisterhood uses scenes from Hawkeye, I made this edit so Hawkeye works in line with it. It basically takes most of Hawkeye from the first 5 episodes so Black Widow: Sisterhood acts as a sequel. I also took parts from Echo and added it here, so it means you don't habe to watch Echo before jumping into Born Again, which you don't either way, but I found Echo to feel like a useless project so I took the parts from the Fisk plotline and added in what I could that made enough sense.

The edit cuts out anything to do with the Cosplay group or Yelena, and Daredevil has a cameo too. In this version, Kingpin isn't defeated, meaning for Kingpins entre run in the MCU up until Born Again he isn't defeated once. He is basically a back ground villain and I think this works hetter so Fisk doesn't feel like the biggest phony in the MCU.

P.S. i've got all the scenes in the right order, i'll mostly be focusing on maling smooth transitions them from now on. The estimated run time is 2hrs and 19mins, give or take a few minutes after the editing is complete.
