CHBE vs ENVIRONMENTAL
Hi, I know it is super late, but I would love some more input before I submit my final decision for second year placement. I'm really torn between chbe and envl, although I know that envl is a subfield of chbe.
I love the environment and have spent a lot of my life thinking of going into env sci, but I really wanted to be a part of more direct/tangible work and I love math a lot. envl is appealing because of this reason, but i think that I am more interested in biomaterials, renewable energies and circular economies.
that is not to say that there isn't overlap, but from what i've seen on the websites it seems that it is more chbe...? but i feel like my heart has always been in envl and i love the department spirit so much, so it makes me torn to part with it.
if anyone has anything to say that would help me id appreciate the insight
