Whatnot issues
I love whatnot and have gotten a lot of great items, but this is bothering me as a buyer and I don't know why it isn't talked about. At least I can't find where it's talked about. Anyway.
I recently purchased items from two different sellers back in January and the items showed that they would arrive around Jan 15th. Well they never came. I know mail can run slow for different reasons so I patiently waited. I know that both sellers sent the items and that means it shouldn't fall on them that they didn't show up. The problem is. The sellers lost out on the money and I lost out on the money and the items, but l was refunded. About a month later they showed up and the box from one seller and the other sellers items inside the box of the other seller and all items were there, but had been open and delivered. I contacted whatnot and the sellers to tell them. But it's too late.
They lost out on money and nothing to show. I got my items for free and what not didn't protect there seller and the post office didn't get hurt by this at all. I then learned that the seller or buyer can claim the insurance on the items who ever gets there first.
bs because the buyer has no right to touch that money but the post office said it's allowed. Anyway I don't know why sellers don't claim that $100 insurance on those items,
because that's a lot of stress and nonsense that they shouldn't have to stress over.
Just wanted to share this information.
Because nobody should have to pay for something that is out of your hands once you drop it off at the post office. They need to be held accountable for this bs.
