I want to play Ironsworn Starforged in a custom setting (I am creating my own with the Perilous Void book) inspired on Star Wars.

My character is going to be a Han-Solo-type mercenary, and I feel like "Iron Vows" would not be a good match for this type of character in terms of flavor. Making a vow feels too altruistic for this type of character. Also "Iron" will not have the same meaning/importance in my setting.

I was thinking maybe that they could have "contracts and reputation" instead? Then, if they break the contracts they lose reputation. Has anyone come across a similar conundrum before? Any suggestions for tweaks/hacks to the "Swear an Iron Vow" move?

I posted my sci-fi setup a while back, so here is my fantasy setup for playing solo RPGs.

Plugins: Advanced Canvas (to leverage cssclasses), dice roller (for the 3d dice), solo RPG toolkit (for better character sheets, as well as oracles).

Flowchart is built with a simple mermaid diagram (built-in).

To anyone who is interested, the tables displayed there are from Ironsworn Delve cards which are free to download. The system I use to play solo is also a free PDF called the One Page Solo Engine.

This was set up in an Obsidian Canvas. Site cards can be easily swapped with other Domain/Theme cards via Right-click>Swap file...

3D dice are from the Dice Roller plugin which has a graphical dice option. dice: d100|render

I know, super nerdy, but it seems like a very flexible and lightweight way of mapping without having to draw.
