ASRock 9070 will not boot in one of my PCs. Hoping somebody has an idea that will help.
I have been building PCs for a long time, and this is the strangest thing I have seen.
To summarize:
After using it for four months, my PC (MSI Z790, Intel 12600KF) with the 9070 16GB (non-XT) would not post on boot. The MSI motherboard is showing the white VGA error light.
I have tried the following:
Installed the 9070 in my other PC (MSI B650, 7800x3d). This one is able to boot, display windows, and even game just fine.
Installed my 4070 Super into the one that won't boot. Now the PC will boot normally and goes into windows (although it doesn't have the proper drivers of course).
Installed a GTX 1080 into the one that won't boot. Same result, PC work just fine.
Updated all motherboard drivers on the Intel PC. No change in behavior, Nvidia cards boot and AMD card does not. Reset the CMOS, no change. Flashed the BIOS to the latest revision, no change.
Tried a different power supply, no change in behavior, only the ASRock GPU fails to boot.
As you can see this is very strange, and I have no idea what the problem could be. Any help is appreciated.
Edit: Power supply in both is a Corsair RMX 850.
