Q RE cleaning plates between nails

Q RE cleaning plates between nails

I don't like this nearly as much as my last set, but it's fine I guess (also.javent cleaned it up yet). My currently struggle/question - so I have learned to do multiple stampers at a time where possible, so they're all set up and ready to go since it's ok if they dry on the stamper. That helps a lot!

But - for example in this case I really wanted what's on my thumb on all fingers, but the image was only enough to cover 2 nails. I can't do another swipe of polish on top and restamp - it doesn't pick up fully. I have to acetone remover the first go, dry it off, the polish and scrape and stamp. I find getting the polish off the plates difficult using a cotton round or similar, so it gets annoying.

Any tips to make that easier when I want one image on a bunch of nails so will have to stamp, clean, stamp a bunch?

Guys, I did ittttt! Used your tips after my fail on Friday and look how cute! I have a ton of strawberry plants (this box is a day worth - every day for the next month or so) so I had to do strawberry nails.

Base and top maniology

Keys were: TIIIINY dots of color applied with a dotting tool gently. And also making sure I gave it time to completely dry before top coat.

For anyone who wants to feel better about their skills lol.

First real try at reverse stamping. To get here took one complete redo and this still sucks but I'm leaving it I guess. Every time I think I have it down and can do it pretty quick it turns into a whole thing. I added glitter to camouflage but I still hate it lol

Lessons/questions/thoughts

- Maniology stamping polish (pink and grellow) did not smear like my random Amazon tubes (with no smudge top coat and drying time ugh. I think I need to suck it up and just trash those.

- I see people being SO precise! I did learn you basically tiiiiny dot in the center of where you want a color - too much and it smushes and spreads. Any other tips to get placement better?

I got this vintage sapphire ring recently and it definitely has some past love knicks, which is fine. However - after looking close I want to make sure that the top stone is secure, as it looks askew. I will take it to a jeweler eventually, but want to wear it in the meantime. Nothing feels loose at all, but that top one is either just weirdly cut or askew. Thoughts?

Mean Girls inspired nails for my daughter's school play tomorrow! First try at reverse stamping and I'm happy! Still not perfect, but I'm finding my groove. (And collage-y stamps definitely help with acception imperfection!)
